Our Solution
In 2016, we founded Vidyoday Muktangan Parivar Foundation (VMPF) with a simple yet powerful belief — that every child, no matter where they come from, deserves to learn with curiosity, creativity, and confidence. We saw the gap between what children were being taught and what truly prepares them for life — and we set out to bridge it.
Maharashtra aims to transform its school education system in line with NEP 2020 and the India@2047 vision. Currently, only 41% of eligible children are enrolled in foundational schooling. The state targets 70% enrollment by 2029 and 100% by 2047. Learning outcomes remain a key concern, with less than 22% of secondary school students performing at proficient or advanced levels.
We also partner with teachers, training them to bring Project-Based Learning (PBL) into their classrooms so that learning becomes an experience — not a chore. Our mission is to make education joyful, relevant, and empowering, creating ripple effects that strengthen not just schools, but entire communities.

A Call from the Classrooms
Kolhapur has a legacy of progressive and inclusive education, rooted in the social reform vision of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj. But despite this history, many rural Zilla Parishad schools still struggle with:
Rigid textbook-based teaching
No materials for experiments
Overburdened teachers with little training
Disengaged students who memorize without understanding
These challenges aren't unique to Kolhapur — they represent the reality across rural Maharashtra. Teachers want to inspire their students but lack the resources and training to do so. Students are curious and capable, but the system doesn't nurture their natural love for learning.
VMPF was founded to answer this call from classrooms — to provide practical solutions that work within the constraints of government schools while transforming how children learn.
