Chhote Kalam Science Project

Introducing the Chhote Kalam Science Project by Vidyoday Muktangan Parivar Foundation, dedicated to fostering life skills among students in standard 6 and 7 at Zilla Parishad primary schools. Our facilitators engage students daily with hands-on experimental learning tools, enhancing their capacity to grasp concepts effectively. Running successfully since the educational year 2019-20, this initiative has enriched the educational quality of 5 government schools, nurturing future leaders equipped with robust life skills.

We are currently working with 30 Schools with 1632 students from 30 villages.

Dnyandeep Project is an aspirational project of Vidoyday Muktangan Parivar Foundation (Known as Vidyoday), working with Zilla Parishad primary schools to inculcate life skills in students of standard 6 and 7.

The facilitator is engaged for 2 hours every day with students by applying various experimental learning tools to build their grasping capacity. The project is running for the past educational year(2019-20) and helping to improve the educational quality of 5 government schools and creating future leaders with strong life skills.

Fellows are putting their lives at risk (with due precautions) while contacting the families of their students. They are collecting their requirement of the hour and supporting them emotionally in this pandemic situation.
Our students made beautiful Rakhis, sold them in villages and earned handsome profit and business skills as life skills for life.
Kitchen science – students cooked Misal (popular Marathi cuisine) and learnt basic scientific facts behind same, broke gender neutral role traditions by entering into kitchen for the first time.
This is learning with fun for Vidoyday. Want to learn more…??

The pre- and post-assessment graph for the Chhote Kalam Science Project visually represents changes in students’ knowledge, attitudes, and skills before and after the project’s implementation. The pre-assessment data, collected prior to the project’s start, establishes baseline metrics in scientific understanding and student engagement. The post-assessment data, gathered after project completion, highlights any improvements or shifts in these metrics. By comparing these two sets of data, the graph provides a clear visualization of the project’s impact on students. This comparative analysis helps gauge the effectiveness of the project in enhancing students’ interest and proficiency in science.
