At VMPF, we believe that real learning happens outside the pages of a textbook—when children touch, build, observe, and ask “why?” Our core belief in ‘Learning by Doing’ guides every session we take with children in rural Kolhapur.
In villages where educational opportunities are often limited to blackboards and rote learning, we’re creating vibrant, hands-on experiences that make learning real, relevant, and joyful.
Why ‘Learning by Doing’?
Many children in our partner government schools struggle with:
Chalk & Talk method
Traditional learning barrier
No access to labs or equipment
Fear of science and maths
This leads to low engagement, especially among students from laborer families, where learning support at home is limited.
We address this by designing simple, meaningful, and play-based projects that help children grasp scientific principles through models and toys they build themselves.
Bridging Gaps with Mobile Science Labs
Since their schools lack labs, we bring the labs to them!
Our mobile vans travel to 8 partner government schools, and beyond, turning regular schoolyards into interactive science zones.
